Xiaomi Mi MIX Nano With 5.5-Inch Display Images and Specifications Leaked
Compared to the 6.4-inch display on the Mi MIX, the smaller variant will feature a 5.5-inch full HD display with over 90 percent screen-to-body ratio with a ceramic body. After all, how can one not be curious about a smartphone that boasted of a near bezel-free design, with 91.3% of its face dedicated to the screen and the screen alone. Now, the Chinese company is releasing a miniature version. That makes it a tad hard to identify the design. Nevertheless, the smaller handheld is just as incredible in a more efficient and easier to handle size.
Would you like to see a Xiaomi Mi MIX Mini released in your local market? Hopefully, the Mi Mix Mini doesn’t follow the Mi Mix’s footsteps by never coming out in other markets except China. So now, Xiaomi is bringing its shorter version dubbed as Mi Mix Nano with a 5.5-inch display. Nevertheless, the smaller handheld sounds just as unbelievable as its predecessor, but in a more efficient and easier to handle size. There’s also a Pro variant of the smartphone that features 6GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
It is clear that the size reduction in this bezel-less phone means a smaller price tag, as it is expected to cost users at least $73 less than the Mi Mix. A famous French designer Phillippe Starck designed the Mi Mix. The Mi Mix, in case you aren’t aware, is powered by a Snapdragon 821 chipset and sports a 6.4-inch display. So, your only option is to buy the phone through third-party importers and sellers via Lazada, which is too risky as it comes without the official hardware warranty. Xiaomi launched the Mi MIX in China for ¥3499, but it has no plans to make the handset available in India. However, its large profile poses an ergonomic challenge.
The Mi Mix has a ceramic back that provides a sturdy yet premium feel.
The Chinese smartphone maker will get really good competitions in the near future with brands like Lenovo, Apple and Samsung have reportedly been working on bezel-less designs for the next flagship devices. Recently we have come across rumors that Meizu will be launching a smartphone that will compete with the Mi MIX.
