Yahoo Image Search Adds Personalized Photos From Your Flickr Collection
You’ll have to be logged into your Yahoo account, which will pull up personalized Flickr results when searching for an image on Yahoo. Run a search within the photo site and you’ll get the same type of results: your photos, those from people you follow, and the top public photos.
Yahoo has updated its image search engine to include images from Flickr, its image-hosting website. While Yahoo may have a leg up right now, it may not for long – if it hasn’t done so already, Google’s probably doing a few more work to better incorporate the files its 100 million monthly active users have in Google Photos into its search results.
Yahoo’s image search now shares numerous same design elements that were rolled out recently on Flickr.
In addition, says Yahoo, searchers will be able to utilize advanced filters alongside their query, like color and size, for example, plus they can filter by usage by selecting the appropriate items from the “License” drop-down. You can see in the signed in version, I have photos of Danny Sullivan that I personally took and uploaded to Flickr, as well as images from my friends in Flickr of Danny Sullivan. These parameters can be applied to the Web image results and the included Flickr image results. The image search feature is available for U.S. desktop users only.
