Yahoo Search Powered By Google, Sometimes – Search Engine Roundtable
Yahoo is conducting tests to include Google powered test results and ads in its own web search engine, indicating towards a possible partnership between the two giants and a red signal to Microsoft’s Bing, the current search partner of Yahoo.
Google has also confirmed that they will be providing a helping hand to Yahoo for their search results and ads. Yahoo did not share any further information and Google did not immediately respond for a comment.

In 2008, Google and Yahoo attempted to get into a search-ad deal, which would enable Google to place its ads on Yahoo search results.
Now that Yahoo and Microsoft aren’t exclusive anymore – once it involves search, that’s they’ll each work with different corporations. No doubt that will be dependent on the success of Yahoo’s testing of Google’s search results. Other separate complaints related to antitrust from the European Commission have alleged that Google artificially boosts its presence in comparison-shopping and its Android operating system for mobile devices is anticompetitive. Chief Executive of company “Yahoo”, Marissa Mayer, has repeatedly stated that it is not happy with such a partnership. Google handles most search inquiries around the world. “Our results provide empirical evidence that universal search has in some situations been deployed in a manner that degrades the search product and harms Google’s users”, they said.
In Europe, Google is already facing investigation for its search practices.
Now that the deal is over, Yahoo will be testing a new search ad scheme developed in collaboration with Google. According to the revised agreement, the companies’ partnership is not restricted for both mobile and desktop searches. The company explained that it was a part of their routine hunt for various new partners to usher the Yahoo experience.
After camping on the lawn of Yahoo’s home overnight, the search engine released a statement to Search Engine Land. Now Yahoo can update its “search experience” on any platform.
