Yellow weather warning issued due to patchy fog in Nottinghamshire
This morning, heavy fog has been causing problems all throughout the country, with delays to public transport services as well as a build-up of traffic on busy commuter routes.
A YELLOW weather warning for fog has been issued by the Met Office – as patchy fog is expected to develop during the early hours of tomorrow morning.
The visibility is set to fall below 100 metres in places leading to hard driving conditions.
Saturday will see sunny intervals throughout the day with highs of 16C and Sunday will be cloudier with similar temperatures.
Motorists are being advised to switch on their dipped headlights, reduce their speed and keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front.
“If the fog closes in, reduce your speed further and take your time getting to your destination”.
She added that vulnerable road users should do what they can to avoid, cycling or walking in fog.
