Yoko Ono released from hospital after suffering flu symptoms
The artist and widow of the late John Lennon was admitted to a New York City hospital to be treated for flu-like symptoms on the advice of her physician.
“Her doctor thought it would be a good idea for her to get checked”, Mintz said. Ono was hospitalized Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 for flu-like symptoms, but her representative said the singer was on the mend and should be released soon.
Sean Ono Lennon said on Twitter Saturday afternoon that his mother was home and “running around as usual”. Just the flu in the end.
Ono’s artistic career has spanned more than five decades.
Her son, Sean Lennon, later tweeted to let fans know that his mother was fine and did not, in fact, have a stroke.
This month, she is exhibiting “Land of Hope”, which comprises 19 pieces of her artwork in Mexico City’s Memory and Tolerance Museum. Lennon was shot to death on December 8, 1980, in front of the iconic Dakota apartment building in NY where he lived with Ono.
