You Can Use Regular Watch Bands on Misfit’s New Ray Fitness Tracker
The Misfit Ray, announced in Las Vegas during CES 2016, looks like it’ll do a better job at staying put.
The Ray also has a single multicolor LED, and can alert you to incoming texts and calls as well as buzz a silent alarm. The Ray has a tri-axis accelerometer inside and will track everything the Misfit Shine can, including activity and sleep. It is up for pre-orders on the company’s website with prices starting from $99.99 (Rs 6,660 approximately). Its features aren’t that different than the company’s other trackers, but the wearable sets itself apart because the minimal design is stylish without trying too hard. Ray features a highly customizable cylindrical aluminum body, able to be worn with Misfit-branded or custom accessories on the wrist or as a necklace. For starters, it measures a mere 12mm in diameter and 38mm long, which would exhibit Ray’s sleek form factor as well as clean lines to make it uniquely wearable.
The Misfit Ray can also be used like a one touch remote thanks to the Misfit Link software. Ray will do its bit to complement watches, bracelets, and fine jewelry, where its elemental, interchangeable design would make it easy to personalize. For example, Misfit’s BaubleBar locket completely hides your tracker and is more fitting for an upscale dinner than Ray is.
Ray wearers can monitor their sleep duration and quality, track their steps, tag specific activities like cycling or yoga, see their calories burned and more using Misfit’s mobile app. Communicate with friends, turn on your lights, change your music, take a selfie, and more, all with a few taps. Ray is also water resistant up to 164 feet.
“We designed Ray to be your most valuable accessory”, said Tim Golnik, Misfit’s VP of Product and Design.
The Misfit Ray comes in rose gold and black and is available to preorder now for $99.
