You Will Finally Be Able to Stream The Beatles’ Entire Music Catalogue
For the first time ever, music lovers can stream the Beatles on Christmas Eve through many services, including Apple Music, Amazon Prime, Microsoft Groove, Rhapsody, Google Play, Spotify, Tidal, Slacker and Deezer.
After years of refusing to make their back catalogue available to streaming customers, 224 songs from the original 13 studio albums will go online.
The most-searched Beatles albums, per Google Trends, come to nine music-streaming sites beginning December 24.
John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr accumulated 17 number one singles in the United Kingdom charts as the Beatles.
They’ve been similarly behind the times in terms of streaming services, but now it’s been confirmed that their music will finally be available for streaming just in time for Christmas.
Giles Martin, the producer responsible for bringing the band’s catalog to digital platforms, told Fast Company that he was waiting for streaming services to embrace higher quality audio streaming.
The other positive about the release of their music: they’re actually on Spotify unlike the snobbish diva Taylor Swift; if even the biggest holdouts can relent it shows up Ms. Swift for the person she really is.
The Beatles, who broke up in 1970, have been slow to adapt to changes in the music industry. Now, fans have the real thing and stream Beatles music so are likely to prefer it to the tribute bands’ versions.
Warner Music Group, which represents such artists as Ed Sheeran and Lily Allen, recently revealed that money from streaming exceeded that of money from downloads in this past year.

But The Beatles Spotify page – right now, without its catalog, mostly useless – has already accumulated 1.1 million followers.
