Younis Khan Achieves His Biggest Dream Ever
Younis Khan has replaced Javed Miandad as Pakistan’s highest run scorer during the opening day of first Test of the three-match series against England on Tuesday.
Younis made 127 runs for Pakistan in the series against England in 2012 at United Arab Emirates which the green shirts whitewashed the England side 3-0.
“I think they are more prepared and know what mistakes they committed the last time so we need to also focus and improve our performance”. “Passing Miandad would be great but I am in no way close to the great man, who is a legend of Pakistan cricket”.
In total, he has 30 test hundreds as well as 29 half-centuries, with a best of 313 set in 2009 against Sri Lanka.
Javed Miandad while talking to media said that Younis Khan is great player to watch and has achieved the milestone through continous struggle and hard work.
“I thought the focus should be on my innings because the team needed runs from me so I put my concentration back after reaching the record”, he said.
Miandad added that Younis has always been a good student of the game. Pakistan has scored 252 runs in the loss of 2 wickets.
Playing his 102nd Test, Younis, 37, hit off-spinner Moeen Ali for a huge six to cross Miandad and Inzamam-ul-Haq’s (8830) score in one stroke.
