YouTube launches live TV streaming service

YouTube unveiled a new live TV service on Tuesday, setting up another major threat to cable and satellite companies.
There’s no shortage of streaming video services available today, and now we’ve got one more to add to the list.

Dubbed YouTube TV, the $35-per-month service offers access to around 40 TV networks, including ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, and ESPN.
Essentially, YouTube TV will allow you the ability to live and record content from major TV network.
Notably missing are all Turner channels, like CNN, TNT, and Cartoon Network, plus Viacom’s Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, and Nickelodeon.
“There’s no question people love TV but the truth is, there are a lot of limitations in how to watch”, explained YouTube in a blog post.

Now, you may ask “Is the service compatible with my smartphone?” YouTube TV will be functional for all types of screens – smartphone, tablet and computer.
So how YouTube TV is better than other similar services out there? Original content targeted first to YouTube Red also will be included in the $35-a-month, no-contract deal. This side bonus make sense.
Subscribers of YouTube TV can avail subscription service from all four content providers in the U.S. including ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC.
YouTube TV will be available soon in the US. According to the Engadget report, the feature will be rolled out only in United States because it can offer live broadcast feed to the viewers. It also offers a cloud DVR, with unlimited storage space, that will be transported with the user’s personal devices.
YouTube TV targets younger generations looking to watch info, movies or series with a simple subscription and an internet connection. Only time will tell!
