YouTube star Caleb Logan dies at 13
The Bratayley family announced the news via Instagram on October. 2, with a photo of their son and one of his sisters. Logan is survived by his sisters Annie, 10, Hayley, 7, his mom, Katie, and his dad, Billy. Their YouTube channel has amassed over 1 billion views in the five years that they have been posting videos.
In addition to the videos on the main YouTube channel, which contains a text reference to his passing but no new episodes, the children each made appearances on other channels reflecting their interests in hobbies like video games and gymnastics.
In it he answers the question, what would you ask your future self?

She reported he had died the previous evening of “natural causes”; the ambiguity of that explanation has only fueled rumor-mongering all over the Internet as to what specifically could cause an otherwise healthy-looking pre-adolescent to pass away. None of us will and we are very sad because he would have been great.
The message reminds parents to “kiss your kids and tell them that you love them every day” because “you never know what day will be their last”.
Maker Studios, who represents the family also offered their condolences.
The news was first confirmed on the family’s Instagram page Friday afternoon. “Please help us honor our baked potato”, she added, referencing the family’s nickname for the teen.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to the Bratayley family as this most hard time”.
Caleb Logan has sadly passed away, aged 13 [YouTube].
“This has come as a shock to all of us”, the caption reads. “Words can not describe how much we will miss him”.
“It is with our deepest sorrow to report that the Instagram announcement was indeed true”, the family wrote.
Caleb’s family, whose real last name isn’t Bratayley, according to People, became well known in 2010 after turning their lives into a daily show for YouTube.
