Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards end engagement

He has not yet addressed his break-up from Perrie, despite receiving a backlash from fans after it was reported he ended their relationship by text.

The latest reports on Zayn and Perrie’s shock split say the former One Direction singer broke up with her in a single text.

The split is said to have come completely out of the blue for Perrie who shared a loved-up shot of the pair together just three weeks ago.

The previous One Direction show star, who stopped his engagement with the singer two weeks ago, has-been busy in L.A. partying with buddies & teasing new music.

Moreover, Zayn, too, made his thoughts heard through his Twitter account in a more subdued and cryptic way.

A source close to Edwards reveals, “She’s been putting on a courageous face, as Little Mix has had promotion to do, but she’s obviously devastated”.

It comes after Perrie, who reportedly can’t believe Zayn dumped her after she stood by him through a number of cheating allegations and supported him when he decided to quit the band, broke her silence on the split during a TV interview on Tuesday. Perrie put on a fearless face along with the rest of her bandmates as they appeared on E! on August 4.

“I’ve been wanting Zayn to leave Perrie’s chalky ass since they first got engaged so today is a very holy day”, another tweet said.

Fellow bandmate Leigh-Anne supportively looked out for her heartbroken pal by adding: ‘We don’t really want to talk about it.’.

Meanwhile, Zayn has remained silent regarding his decision to break off the engagement, only taking to Twitter to share a picture of a picture of a lotus flower cut-out resting on piano keys.
