Zayn Malik CANCELS Radio 1 interview with Greg James last minute
But on Monday evening, Zayn Malik once again dropped out of a promotional appearance, making this his second cancelled interview in less than a week.
The 23-year-old singer released the song on Friday and within minutes it was trending worldwide on Twitter before shooting to the top of the charts around the globe, reported Femalefirst.
Upset fans, who were waiting outside the BBC studios, took to their social media sites to express their disappointment.
In a bid to meet their idol, hundreds of fans flocked to the Radio 1 entrance in London hoping they would meet, or even just catch a glimpse of Zayn on his way into the station.
The sultry song, which features Zayn’s real-life flame Gigi Hadid in the accompanying music video, is projected to reach number one on the United Kingdom charts and is already at the top spot on Spotify. “They had so many people outside the studios and Greg had some big surprises lined up”, a source told The Daily Mail. (The judges didn’t quite get it either, but Simon did.) And while Louis and Liam opted for artistic neck dribbles and Niall seemed to have a bad case of pinkeye, Zayn opted for a solitary, bloody tear.
The news comes just days after the singer cancelled an appearance on British chat show the Graham Norton Show last Thursday, (28Jan16) with his representative citing “scheduling issues”. ‘Zayn has confirmed that he would love to appear on the show at a later date’.
