Zayn Malik signs to RCA Records
Well, it looks like he may have just signed a record deal with RCA Records – and is very happy about it too. Was that comment a diss on his music making days with One Direction?
Some were completely thrown about how to react.
Zayn walked away from the band after insisting he wanted to be a “normal 22-year-old”, only to baffle fans by starting work on solo material. The Daily Mail noticed a tweet from Malik that expressed his feelings about the record deal and more or less explained why he left One Direction.
After being dropped by Simon Cowell’s management, Zayn has signed with Iggy Azalea’s manager.
“Malik also tweeted “#realme” along with his “#realmusic” hashtag, indicating that his participation in One Direction was a different version of himself. Are you excited for new music from him?
The former American Idol judge recently said he wouldn’t be surprised to see the rest of the member of One Direction take a little bit of time off and possibly split for good!
‘Thanks for all the memories boys I love you all’.
Others were more positive, stating they were “proud” of the singer.
“I’ll support anything you do from now on”.
The 55-year-old label boss went on to compliment the new partnership, as he feels “they [RCA] are the ideal label for Zayn’s solo career” and “whatever they release together will be special”.
