Zimbabwe man charged for helping to kill lion illegally
Dr. Palmer and Associates has reopened in Minnesota, almost a month after closing in the wake of protests over Cecil the lion’s death.
What do U think – when will Palmer come out of hiding and resume his life?!
Ndlovu’s lawyer said he is free on $200 bail and the case has been postponed to September 18.
Palmer’s office in suburban Minneapolis had been closed since late July after a barrage of criticism for Palmer over the killing of a protected lion named Cecil. But the National Prosecuting Authority, which handles extradition requests, said on Tuesday police have not supplied the required documentation.
The killing of Cecil, a 13-year-old, rare, black-maned lion and a popular tourist attraction, caused global consternation and triggered a major backlash against Africa’s multi-million dollar hunting industry.
Theo Bronkhorst, a professional hunter who helped Palmer, has been charged with “failure to prevent an illegal hunt”.
