Zlatan Ibrahimovic Set to Remain at Manchester United Until 2019
Manchester United boss Mourinho has confirmed that left-back Luke Shaw could see his first taste of Premier League action since October, after being included in the squad to face Bournemouth.
Mourinho was asked about Defender Luke Shaw and responded with comments that signified a major opportunity is in store for the oft-injured but still very talented and promising left back.
“This is the mentality that we have – that trophy has given us much confidence”, Valencia said.
And being exposed to a player of such exceptional quality can only help the likes of Martial, Rashford and Lingard, whilst giving Mourinho more time to focus on finding a genuine number nine.
“There is also the fact that some of the others have now been here for two or three years now, so they have grown as well. The next transfer window will bring the team to a different level because we’re going to try to bring in a few players”, he said.
‘I always thought it would take time for Shaw. We need to improve for the next step.
United are now the Premier League’s in-form side, with Mourinho’s men not having tasted defeat in England’s top division since October 23.
“It’s a good place to be at the minute, real positivity around the place and hopefully things this season that we can achieve, and that keeps me going”. “Now we have the most insane calendar fixtures that somebody can have but it’s for good reasons”.
They may be still be 6th in the table, but the gap between the top three and the top six has reduced considerably as a result of their unbeaten streak. We still have that responsibility on our shoulders, but you could say a lot has changed. “I can’t guarantee that everyone will be able to play but I’m pretty sure it’ll be most of the team”.
He added: “Who knows (if we can win the Europa league)?” Let’s see how I feel, the situation.
Since he had made a decision to “help the team and to fight for Manchester United he’s an important player for us”, Mourinho told reporters on Friday.
