Zlatan Ibrahimovic to start coaching badges
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still in the early stages of endearing himself to United supporters but, apparently, he’s already making plans for what awaits him in retirement.
The former Paris Saint-Germain striker was linked to a variety of European teams this summer, and his agent recently stated Milan would have been his preference.
“I was close two times to moving to the Premier League – once with Arsenal and then Manchester City”, Ibra told the media.
It seems as though the move is already paying off given that Ibrahimovic scored the winning goal in the Community Shield encounter with Leicester City last month, before adding three goals in three Premier League games to leave United sitting joint top of the table ahead of the worldwide break.
The 34-year-old, who has made a fine start to his Premier League career by scoring three goals in as many games, has already held talks with Jose Mourinho to discuss plans after his playing days are over.
Mourinho also has Antonio Valencia available at right-back but the boss is said to be keen on strengthening the position with the expectation that United will be playing Champions League football next season. I learned a lot from him at Inter.
According to a report in the Sun, the Swedish forward has notified manager Jose Mourinho of his intention to take his badges at the beginning of 2017, with an eye to a coaching role in Italy when he hangs up his boots.
