Zombi Now Available on Steam and Xbox One
I’m still working my way through it, so expect a full review treatment soon.
Now nearly three years since ZombiU’s launch, Ubisoft has finally decided to release the game on the PS4, PC and Xbox One – minus the “U” and minus the multiplayer.
Previously only available on the Wii U, Zombi puts players in the middle of an infected London.
ZOMBI puts an emphasis on self-preservation and pushes players to do whatever it takes to survive against the zombie attack. The game also relies on the permadeath system where character death is final, forcing you to respawn as a new character without your previous inventory collection or bug-out bag.
Zombi will go on sale for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms this week digitally. Fortunately, it is a lot cheaper than the WiiU version was (or still is even) – it will set you back $29.99 on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One thanks to the Australia tax, or $19.99 United States dollars on Steam. Digging into your backpack, scanning for items or tearing down barricades now happens on your TV and, rather than it having the effect of losing tension, as some people had feared, I actually think it improves the overall experience no end.
