Zooey Deschanel gets married and has her baby

The New Girl star gave birth in late July in Austin, Texas, where Pechenik works as a movie producer, Page Six reported.

And as if her baby joy wasn’t enough, Zooey’s rep has also confirmed the actress and her fiancé Jacob Pechenik have Wednesday!

Back in January, the couple announced that they were both expecting and engaged.

“We are going to be surprised. Make it into a game”, she said during her March appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! “We are so excited to meet our little one”, the mom-to-be said. But what she truly had no idea about was whether or not her new addition would be a boy or a girl. “Apparently not that many people are that sort of… most people want to find out”.

Deschanel, 35, and Pechenik, 42, began dating last year after meeting on a movie project.

Zooey was married once before, to Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service lead vocalist Ben Gibbard.

“[Having kids has] never been my focus”. “The last time the technician [said], ‘Just so you know, I always use the pronoun he – it’s just my habit.’ She set it up because we were paranoid”. I like working. That’s what I like doing.
