ZUK Z1 will use Cyanogen for worldwide release
As such, the first ZUK device, the ZUK Z1 had widely been anticipated on prior to its launch.
What are the specs of Lenovo backed ZUK Z1 worldwide version? Sound good? Sit tight: the Z1 is scheduled to launch internationally sometime in September. The Z1 received over 2 million pre-orders within one week, and 40,000 handsets sold out immediately after the 1 wave purchase kicked off on August 18.
That phone, the OnePlus One, went on to gain its own loyal fan base and win critical acclaim.
On the inside, the Z1 is equipped with an old quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, which is complemented by 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. “Combining Cyanogen OS 12.1 with the latest highest end hardware, the Z1 is poised to provide a fast, secure and lovely device for Android users”. The first smart phone in the world featuring a reversible Type-C charging port with USB 3.0 level data transfer speeds is ZUK Z1.
The partnership marks the third major partnership for Cyanogen’s commercial OS offering, after OnePlus and Micromax. However, now the ZUK Z1 is here, the talk about what the device will bring has ended and it seems the company’s debut device is going to be a real contender going forward.
The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony sensor (IMX214) and optical image stabilization (OIS), another feature that’s found in high-end smartphones. It packs a large 4100mAh battery and will be available in White and Grey colours. Notably, the home button on the Z1 smartphone also embeds the fingerprint scanner.
Zuk Z1 will sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
ZUK CEO Chang Cheng expressed the planning of the global market development and his expectations, he said: “We’ve had a great start in China market, and we wish we can achieve success in overseas markets too”.
