First Lady Michelle Obama To Visit ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’
Of course, I’ve had the good fortune to work at a company that loves creativity and innovation and knows it can only flourish when you embrace people’s differences. In addition, you won’t be seeing the official release of watchOS 2 today, and Apple updated the iOS version of iMovie with some nifty new features.
Colbert, boasting a more handsome lead over ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel than his predecessor David Letterman had, proved to be a consistent draw between the second and fourth nights.
Showing that Colbert is a masterful interviewer shifting from the silly to honest came when he introduced the topic of Cook’s sexuality by asking him “Was that an upgrade or a feature that was not turned on?” When I spoke to [Timothy] Cardinal Dolan or I would speak to a Medal of Honor victor , I would just dial it up and down as need be.
Colbert asked Cook if his commitment to social responsibility extends to conditions at Apple’s suppliers around world, which have been the focus of criticism. I think people in the suburbs don’t wanna feel that separation. After a long, loud laugh, Cook shared what moved him to finally publicly say “I’m proud to be gay”.
Cook said he asks himself the same question everyday, one originally posed by Martin Luther King, Jr.: “What are you doing for others?” But he did share an insight into his thoughts on two recent films about the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, which he described as “opportunistic”. Many people already know. “It’s not a great part of our – of our world”. Last night on the late night talker, Colbert introduced everyone to his new lifestyle brand, following the footsteps of Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, and Blake Livery, who have created their very own brands and are selling their products at ridiculously high prices. Siri cooly responded: “Do me a favor”.
“While I value my privacy significantly, I figured I was valuing it too far above what I could do for other people, so I wanted to tell people my truth”.
Watch the entire interview below and stick to the end to find out what happened when Colbert asked Siri to interview her boss.
