Bryant extends order to lower flags for Oregon victims

President Barack Obama issued a similar proclamation, ordering flags to be half-staff at the White House and all public buildings, as well as military and naval stations.

This morning, Governor McCrory ordered the lowering of all North Carolina and United States Flags to honor the victims of the heinous shooting in Rosenburg, Oregon.

Florida Governor Rick Scott declared that the state and national flags in Florida will be flown at half-staff until Tuesday. Harper-Mercer executed nine people inside an Umpqua (UHMP’-kwah) Community College classroom last Thursday and wounded nine others.

Eight students and a teacher were killed by a gunman who killed himself after a shootout with police.

The decision to lower flags was made to honor the victims of the Oregon shooting.
