A kinder, gentler Trump emerges – briefly – from GOP debate
“That was the last day I had an angry outburst”, the Seventh Day Adventist said recently.
In August, there were seven candidates who weren’t polling high enough to qualify for the main stage at the Republican Party’s first debate among presidential hopefuls. Donald Trump didn’t dominate.
“No, we owe $19 trillion.I would say it’s not so good”, Trump responded.
Dozens of people asked questions of Trump. CNN did notice a traffic record for its website, at one point the page had close to a million users on the live stream, easily making it the most watched debate of all time on the Web.
Now, traditionally, GOP voters do buckle down after the summer.
You may have to read that sentence again for it to make sense: a focal point helps a group of people coordinate if every group member believes that the others will agree on that focal point.
When Tapper invited Paul to weigh in, the senator raised concerns about the spacing of the vaccines – a concern also raised by Trump and Carson – suggesting that they should be given over a greater period of time. Carly Fiorina was a distant second at 20 percent.
Those statements only underscored the uselessness of the under-card, or junior varsity debate, and made me wonder why I wasted my time watching it. Let’s face facts.
Fiorina used an unrelated comment Trump made about Bush to segue into her retort. She was passionate about abortion. We certainly saw that down in Florida when he was governor.
“I am totally in favor of vaccines, but I want smaller doses over a longer period of time”, Donald Trump, one of the candidates for president, said at the debate. It was Jeb Bush for a while. “Of course not!” he said, answering his own question.
Did you tune in for the debate?
Now, I’d like to think that I’m a pretty open-minded person. It’s nearly as if he was questioning Jeb Bush’s manhood.
There is no evidence that supports spacing out childhood vaccines – which two Republican candidates for president suggested in Wednesday night’s presidential debate – instead of following the recommended schedule, experts say.
But like Trump, Carson has taken advantage of the anti-establishment wave that has swept the Republican race. It was his audience last night. And then the second one, the rambling about the Bush advisers and how many people.
Moderator: I’d like to ask each of the candidates how they feel about Planned Parenthood.
The most dramatic moment of the night involved a Trump back-and-forth with Fiorina, the only woman in the debate and in the GOP nomination chase.
Carson has authored six books, from the spiritual to the motivational and, in 2014, a best-selling guide to problem-solving in US political discourse.
Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton is turning to the bible in an effort to improve her relationship with the media.Attending the bicentennial celebration of the Foundry United Methodist Church in Washington… Tell us about what they did.
Overall it was a dispiriting night.
It may well be they are all looking at Fiorina as the inspiration to continue.
Also, no more three hour debates. He earned global acclaim in 1987 by leading a 70-person team that performed the first successful separation of twins, two 7-month German boys who were joined at the head. And apparently, she’s going to do a lot more of this – more late-night shows and more interviews with the press. Donald Trump has not only vilified the people whose very heritage I share, but he has also emphatically labeled my home a hotbed for illicit activity that is allegedly putting our entire nation and its security in jeopardy.
