Pope Francis’ upcoming visit falls on the 50th anniversary of the first time a sitting pontiff visited the United States.
Just 23 percent view Pope Francis unfavorably, though this number has doubled since December 2013, when the newly-elected Francis enjoyed a disapproval rating of only 12 percent.

Even before my own conversion, we attended Mass together, sharing as a family the message of hope and love, praying for peace and grace.
One of the issues Brooke senses the Pontiff will touch upon is a reminder to Americans that there is more than just us and that we need to think outside ourselves.
