House Tries to Yank Planned Parenthood Funding

In something out of a dystopian nightmare, the US House of Representatives has voted to stop federal funding to Planned Parenthood for a year.

The Senate is expected to vote Tuesday, two days before Pope Francis speaks to a joint meeting of Congress, on a bill that bans all abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, but Democrats have the numbers to defeat it. Planned Parenthood denied the allegations, saying the tissue is given for medical research and that the videos were highly edited. “These videos show that this is not one or two clinics acting on their own, but these practices are a part of the Planned Parenthood business model”.
