Palestinian witness disputes Israel account of woman’s death
Some photographs show Ms al-Hashlamun talking to a man with a light-coloured shirt, who appears to be trying to calm the situation.
A witness disputed the IDF version of events that led to the fatal shooting of a Palestinian woman in Hebron on Tuesday.
The Israeli forces caused excessive property damage before detaining the eight young Palestinians.
If he is a medical professional, he takes no interest in the Palestinian woman’s situation except to gawk. Presumably only to Jews. The scene seems well-equipped for the beginning of another intifada or violent strikes by the Israelis who leave no stone unturned when it comes time for them to unleash their brutality.
Al-Quds reported that Israel forces have severely restricted Palestinian worshipers’ access into Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and detained over 150 Palestinian teenage within the previous week. This act of killing a young, seemingly defenceless Palestinian woman reeks of incitement and an itch to bomb and maim more people in Gaza and the West Bank.
Here is a photo of Hashlamoun’s funeral, today, posted by NasserZB.
The hospital’s spokesperson said Hadil had been “terribly injured, and underwent surgery upon her arrival”, Maan News Agency reported. “She was murdered in cold blood and was not a threat to the soldiers”.
[A] European activist, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because his employers do not permit him to talk to reporters, provided photographs of the episode.
The local media organisation PalMedia released a video that showed al-Hashlamon’s body lying on the ground before she was roughly dragged out of the camera’s frame.
A caption alongside it read: ‘You can see her bag’s contents after the Israeli police opened it. She had a phone and books’. Stop! Stop! Don’t move!
Let’s assume that she had a knife.
She ignored requests by the soldiers to stop, and stood in a suspicious manner before advancing toward the soldiers, the source said.
But witnesses denied any attack had taken place and the soldier was unhurt. Even when a soldier shot at her feet twice, she did not move. There were no injuries in the attack and police are investigating, she said. She set off a metal detector and soldiers started yelling at her in Hebrew. “Then gunfire was aimed at the floor, at which point she pulled out a knife, so she was shot in the leg. She then continued towards the soldiers and was shot again”.

Issa Amro, director of Youth Against Settlements, said the man – a Palestinian whom he described as a friend but declined to name – had told him the woman did not have a knife.
WAFA said soldiers cordoned off the area around Talahmeh and didn’t allow a Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance to approach.
