Curtains fall during Carly Fiorina’s speech
Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina was not hurt after a set of curtains collapsed on her during a speech in downtown San Antonio.
A curtain backdrop falls around GOP presidential candidate Carly…
Fiorina, a former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, was in south Texas addressing a conference for women business owners. Someone yelled “Trump“, after the backdrop came down, Svitek posted to Twitter.
“It appears the drapes and poles fell”.
Patrick Svitek from Texas Tribune caught the crowd’s reaction to the curtains falling during the speech. Fiorina later made light of the situation, telling the crowd “ladies, I’m plenty tough enough to be Commander in Chief”.
Fiorina responded to the joke saying, “Trump, Hillary – it could’ve been lots of people“.
Apparently unshaken, Fiorina continued to take questions and move forward with the conference.
