IPhone 6s and 6s Plus water resistance tests show unexpected results
Overall, it appears that the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have seen measured improvements in water resistance over last year’s models, but complete submergence under liquids up to a few feet will still cause the new devices to meet their demise.
The new color has been a huge hit for Apple.
Although benchmarking tool Geekbench marks the iPhone 6S Plus as around 60% faster than its older brother, real world scenarios differ greatly from controlled benchmarks.
The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus pack in a better camera, the 3D Touch feature that make them more intuitive to use apps and run the latest iOS 9 operating system. However, the battery present inside the iPhone 6s is of 1,715 mAh.
Those who have already got their hands on an iPhone 6S Plus have revealed that this one doesn’t bend – even when it’s put under a lot of pressure. To give you an idea of the difference, Phone Arena noted that if both had the same maximum-sized 3,500 mAh batteries, the Xperia Z3 Compact would have lasted about 13 hours and 30 minutes and the iPhone 6s would have gone for 16 hours and 50 minutes. The phone hadn’t been used for anything intensive or demanding prior to trying to take pics, just cruising through Facebook randomly, and was stowed away in my back pocket mostly. The new iPhone is capable of achieving temperatures of up to 102 degrees Fahrenheit, which is much higher in comparison to the average of around 90 degrees Fahrenheit in other phones.
