19 countries to give United Nations 1.8 bln Dollars for refugee assistance

Their culture and ethnic composition is more cohesive (relative to Germany, France and other West European countries) which they are not willing to risk by allowing culturally different refugees in large numbers along with fear and suspicion about the radical Muslims (it is hard to distinguish radicals from others). Separately, from the meeting, Japan also announced that it would provide around 1.4 billion euros to assist Syrians and Iraqis displaced by conflict and for building peace across the Middle East and Africa.
