Google Maps adds support for Apple Watch with its latest update
Google Maps version 4.11.0 is now rolling out to iOS devices, complete with Apple Watch support. That could also mean that we may see other Google apps in the future coming to Apple Watch, including (hopefully) top apps like Gmail or Hangouts, for example.
Apple, which makes most of its money from selling gadgets rather than services, has been betting hard on privacy in recent years, pitting itself against a tech industry that largely relies on monetising personal information. You can also scroll through upcoming directions to get an idea of where Google wants you to go.
Meanwhile, the Apple Watch lets everyone do things normally, more conveniently and easily every day. Any takers for the new Google Maps for iOS? Once you have selected your mode of transportation, Google Maps will provide alternate routes directly on the map, just in case. The iOS 9 update included a much-needed makeover that included accurate transit directions and schedules.
Google still has plenty of room to improve when it comes to Maps on the Apple Watch. Meanwhile, Apple Maps notifies the user through vibration to signal the user for a right or left turn on the next intersection.
It’s been a long wait, but Apple Watch finally gets Google Maps, which is good news for most people who have been sorely disappointed by Apple’s version of a map guide. Speaking to the New York Times, Gary Steele, the CEO of Proofpoint Inc., a cyber-security company, had this to say: “I think it’s a wake-up call…, for both enterprises and individual users”.
First of all, you will have to locate the folder where your app’s source code is.
The injected code sends app info to a C&C server, allowing the infected app to read the device clipboard (meaning, any information copied by the user from any of the device interfaces or apps), to change browser info (create phishing websites) and more.
At Google’s press event yesterday, the company announced Google Maps’ support to the Apple, Inc.’s Watch.
