Modi is an avid user of social media and the second-most followed world leader after U.S. President Barack Obama. Modi aimed to deepen ties with the US technology sector and boost India’s digital infrastructure by promoting his “Digital India” campaign, which seeks to connect thousands more villages to the Internet.
Experts say India’s position is key if a climate change deal is to be signed in Paris later this year.

While addressing the audience at the Facebook headquarters in California, both PM Modi and Zuckerberg reminisced about their past and the hardships they had to face before finally tasting sweet success.
Modi said that in the past 16 months, world’s perception about India has changed dramatically.

Facebook had received more than 40,000 questions ranging from Internet expansion in India to unemployment and Modi’s human rights record.
“He is misusing his official state visits and we demand an independent inquiry on the hundreds and millions of dollars, which has been spent in the organisation of such events”.
