Apple Is Giving Away Free Beats Headphones
If you’ve been waiting for Apple’s Back to School promotion before buying that new Mac Pro, iMac, or MacBook, your wait may have just paid off. Cupertino launched the annual sale today, July 23, with a different spin than in years past.
Apple’s back to school deal is now available for the residents of US and Canada, furthermore the deal goes live starting today and will end on September 18. Apple has not yet announced the promotion in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark or several other European countries that have offered the deal in previous years. Sadly the Mac Mini is not eligible for the promotion. These must be purchased with the education discount, which means the customer must be a student or a faculty or staff member of a school. Alternatively, education customers can opt for the wireless version of the space gray, silver or gold Beats Solo2 headphones for $100, after the credit is applied.
For the last four years, Apple has handed out gift cards and maxed the amount of the offer at $100. Once you’ve stocked up on clothes and what not perhaps you might decide to spend some of your money on Apple products, and if you do you will walk away with a free pair of Beats Solo2 headphones. In terms of monetary value, the $200 headphones credit is definitely worth more, but is a much more limited gift item. The full details of eligibility are outlined in a PDF document on Apple’s Web page.
The promotion begins in Apple Stores on Thursday and is coming to Apple’s online stores August 6.
