Rahul Gandhi holds 10km-long ‘padyatra’ in AP to highlight farmers’ issues
Tending to the media outside the Parliament, the Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi hammered PM Modi for not talking up against Union Minister Sushma Swaraj, who supposedly helped a “bhagora” like Lalit Modi.
Claiming that Modi’s credibility is on the decline, Rahul said the Prime Minister should listen to the voices of the people of the coutry who are demanding an answer from him over controversies confronting the government.

Hitting out at Congress for the “gross injustice” done to Seemandhra in bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh last year and the ongoing tour of Jagan Mohan Reddy in Anantapur district, the ruling TDP asked why the two leaders did not take up “yatras” when large number of farmers allegedly committed suicide during Rajasekhara Reddy’s rule.
Addressing a rally here as part of the birth celebrations of former Tamil Nadu chief minister K. Kamaraj, the Gandhi scion said: ” It is a special honour for me to be here with all of you in Tamil Nadu today.
“More than 40 people have died in the Vyapam scam. Now, they are cursing themselves because their faith and confidence in the prime minister has been crushed”, he added.
As the rain gained momentum, a concerned organiser rushed to protect Gandhi with an umbrella but was politely turned away by the Congress leader.

“In Parliament, Congress MPs, wearing black arm bands, led protests in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. We are ready for a discussion”, senior BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy told ANI.
