Gurdaspur attackers infiltrated from Pakistan, says government
Just the day after Rajnath Singh said that the three terrorists were from Pakistan, the government argued, saying that there was no evidence that the terrorists actually hailed from Pakistan and they were that the Pakistan government was not aware of the entire plot that led to the death of 7 people including policemen themselves.
“According to the panel of doctors, who conducted an autopsy on the dead terrorists in Gurdaspur civil hospital, “Made in Pakistan” label was found intact in the glove that one terrorist was wearing”.
Informing the same, a police official says, “The bodies were handed over to doctors, who during close examination of terrorists” clothes found “made in Pakistan’ tag intact on a glove”. The revelation highlighted Pakistan link in the terror attack.
Earlier, police had maintained that no label was found on clothes while doing a random search of the clothes.
The night vision devices used by the terrorists were likely to be smuggled from Afghanistan.
The night vision device had a unique number (032008 80063 – A325) along with markings such as “warning” and “US government property”.
Also, the doctors have taken DNA samples of the three and a detailed post-mortem report has been submitted to the police.
Earlier this week, Home Minister Rajnath Singh had clearly said that the three attackers had infiltrated from Pakistan to carry out the strike, given the details from two Global Positioning System devices recovered from the militants.
Three militants stormed the Dinanagar police station of Gurdaspur district and open fired on July 27.
Foreign office spokesman Qazi Khaliullah described the statement as “unsubstantiated and unwarranted assertion” and said “pointing fingers” before investigations were completed “was not a healthy trend”.
In the terror attack, three civilians, three Home Guards and one police officer lost their lives, he said, adding 10 civilians and seven security force personnel were also injured.
