Here’s the List Of Lumia Phones To Get Windows 10 Update
Microsoft is yet to announce when the roll out for smartphones will begin, but the Lumia devices will be at the forefront to receive it.
Of these, only Lumia 640 and Lumia 535 are now available in Microsoft’s UK stores. The new device for Windows has somehow downplayed issues surrounding the Lumia.
Either at IFA, or a special even held later in the year, the release of these two devices is only growing closer, and with the future of Windows 10 Mobile riding on their shoulders, expect the scrutiny to be intense. These will bring in existing phones like Lumia 735 and Lumia 520 which are still selling in the UK.
On the company website (via ZDnet), Microsoft wrote: “Get ready for exciting new Windows 10 features on your Lumia”. In addition, it has an Action Center where daily tasks can be quickly done as well as a new browser called Microsoft Edge for a distraction-free reading experience. Using this, you will be able to view, respond to or dismiss notifications either on your phone, tablet or your PC. Saana is known to be the successor of Lumia 830 and rumors of its cancellation has been ceased by the released of Planned Lumia Windows Phones that included the Saana itself.
As of now the current speculations indicate that the OS is expected to come out for the phones in the month of October, and the date is expected to be the 10 of October, as 10/10 corresponds with “Windows 10“. It also appears to be running on a build of Windows 10 Mobile, 10240 to be precise.
Other features for both phones are expected to be Snapdragon 64-bit hexacore processors – 808 in the 950 and 810 in the 950 XL – with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, Qi wireless charging support (with an add-on cover on the 950 and integrated in the 950 XL), and a microSD slot.
