LeT wanted Usman dead not caught alive, his ‘father’ tells daily
He said that there were five infiltration attempts in a month, four of which were foiled and eight terrorists were neutralised.
During Wednesday’s action he fired two magazines at the BSF convoy before fleeing and taking three villagers hostage, who overpowered him and captured him, according to a report submitted to Home Ministry.
Jammu and Kashmir Police has claimed that the terrorists involved in the Udhampur attack on a BSF convoy were backed by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). “Preliminary interrogation of the captured terrorist reveals his identity as Mohammad Naved Yakub, alias Usman, a resident of Faisalabadin Pakistan”.
Condemning recent border violations by the Indian forces, he said Pakistan fully complies with the ceasefire agreement between the two states and seeks peaceful ties with all regional countries.
Pakistan said on Monday that three civilians were killed and almost two dozen were injured in the latest Indian shelling.
“I’ll be killed. The Lashkar is after us and the fauj is after us”, Mohammad Yakub told a leading national daily.
On Wednesday, Usman was caught by the Indian border security force (BSF) near Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir after terrorists carried out an attack on a BSF convoy.
Sources also said that Gurdaspur attackers and Naved were from the same training camp and they left for the operation at the same time but their launching pad and routes were different.
“Rocky fought with the terrorists despite receiving several bullet injuries and finally he killed one of them”, Pathak said.
“Those behind such attacks know very well that their terror designs won’t work for long in India”, said Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.
The accusation could further raise tension between the nuclear-armed neighbours following a recent attack on an Indian police station in which seven people were killed and intermittent clashes on their disputed border in Kashmir. “This attack signifies the failure of the government as it took place at a spot which had become militancy-free”, he said.
While one terrorist took position on a hill and began firing, the other stopped the bus and opened fire from the front. He said, “the proposed dates are under consideration by our government and agenda of the meeting is also being prepared”. At first he called himself Kasim, but later changed his name to Usman.
