Earthquake hits Hindukush region in Afghanistan, tremors felt in North India
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), at around 3.35 PM the natural disaster with a magnitude of 6.2 on the Richter Scale hit Kabul. Tremors were felt in Srinagar and as far as New Delhi, claimed some reports.
The tremor was also felt in various parts of Pakistan including Islamabad, Faisalabad, Mianwali, Peshawar and Sargodah.
So far, there are no reports of any loss of lives or damage to property.
Tremors were felt in Pakistan and India after an natural disaster with 6.1 magnitude intensity struck Afghanistan on Monday.
A moderate intensity quake, measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale had jolted the Kashmir Valley on June 30.
The epicenter is reported to be near Ashkasham in the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan.
In Srinagar, people fled their homes and offices in panic. Anxious people called up their relatives and asked for their well being.
Witnesses in New Delhi said the natural disaster shook buildings.
Earlier on April 25, a massive quake had hit Nepal and several parts of Northern and Eastern India. Tremors were also felt for the second time with an interval of 20 minutes.
