After Donald Trump, Megyn Kelly ‘Won’t Apologize for Doing Good Journalism’

Mr. Trump was upset with a question I asked him at the debate last week about his electability and specifically comments he has made in the past about women. The presidential hopeful said Kelly had “blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.” The interview took place before Trump’s comments that implied she was on her period came about, but she still had quite a bit to say about the Republican candidate and her questions.

He denies he was referring to her hormones but the comments got him removed from a conservative event at the weekend.

“Glad we’re friends again”, host Steve Doocy told Trump on Tuesday morning, the only reference to the feud.

Fox News commentator Megyn Kelly remains defiant despite assaults on her competence and fairness by Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.

Trump protested his treatment and spent the next several days complaining to reporters on every network except Fox.

“We agree to disagree”, she said on her show. “We had a blunt but cordial conversation and the air has been cleared”, Ailes added.

Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes spoke with Mr Trump directly on Monday, assuring him he will “treated fairly” by the station, the tycoon tweeted on Monday.

In New Hampshire Hillary Clinton slammed trump, along with the other Republican candidates for their position on women’s health. “And I certainly will not apologize for doing good journalism”, Kelly said.

“I have never seen the kind of public backlash against Fox personalities that I have seen last night and today”, Limbaugh said Friday, speculating Fox was urged to go after Trump during the first debate.

Another “Apprentice” alum, Katrina Campins, also defending Trump, saying, “I don’t think he has a problem with women”.

“They had 24 million people watching”, Trump said.

Trump maintained Monday that he never intended to say anything inappropriate about Kelly and said the uproar over his criticism was “all fueled by the press”. “My whole life has been led on the theory that I do not want to embarrass people“.
