Arsenal prepare €30m bid for Sevilla’s Grzegorz Krychowiak after UEFA Super
Arsenal are lining up a £21.2million deal for Grzegorz Krychowiak after flying out to scout him ahead of a move, according to reports.
The 25-year-old old has been linked with the club over the past few months as manager Arsene Wenger continues his search for another defensive midfielder.
He featured 48 times in all competitions for his side last term, scoring four goals, and now has a release clause set at £22million.
And though The Gunners already have Francis Coquelin and Mikel Arteta occupying deeper midfield positions, The Telegraph believe that Krychowiak has emerged as a serious target.
Krychowiak is represented by the Stellar group Agency, which also represents other Premier League stars and would be keen to see their client in England.
But Wenger may now step up his interest in the former Bordeaux and Reims midfielder, who started the game against Barcelona in Tbilisi.
Arsenal are now without Jack Wilshere, who is out with a hairline fracture in his left fibula and the Mirror reported that he is expected to be back after the worldwide break in the first week of September.
Karim Benzema, the Real Madrid forward, is another player to have been frequently scouted by Arsenal scouts and he could become the club’s record signing.
