Tomas Rosicky out for two months — Arsenal Injury News
The Czech Republic captain damaged his knee while playing for his national side in a Euro 2016 qualifier against Iceland on June 12.
Rosicky has been beset by injuries in recent years and was limited to 15 appearances last season.
According to Pavel Paska, the player’s agent, Rosicky underwent surgery early in August to fix an issue with his knee that had kept him out of pre-season altogether. “The recovery is expected to take four to eight weeks”.
Czech football federation head Miroslav Pelta said Wednesday that “we have information from Arsenal that everything is getting better but time is against us”.
Despite manager Arsene Wenger revealing that Rosicky is well on his way to recovery, he is now set to miss the match against Palace as well as Liverpool, Newcastle United, Stoke City, Chelsea, Leicester City, and Manchester United. Wilshere faces up to seven weeks on the sidelines.
Arsenal lost their opening game of the new Barclays Premier League season 2-0 at home to West Ham last Sunday and are also without midfielder Jack Wilshere because of an ankle injury.
