Unreleased iPods appear in latest version of iTunes
However it looks like the iPod might not be completely ignored.
On the outside, everything else about these iPods is identical to the products that Apple sells today.
From the images, the new iPod Touch doesn’t appear to feature the Touch ID fingerprint sensor button, and it’s expected to keep the 4-inch screen.
The 6th generation iPod Touch music player is apparently being geared up by Apple. The Apple insider has revealed that this might be released this year with an upgraded processor and camera.
The dark blue iPod touch, gold/beige iPod Nano and bright pink iPod shuffle don’t now exist suggesting Apple is preparing to update its ageing iPod lineup with new hues in the near future.
Earlier, Apple has always announced new iPods in early September, so most likely we should be able to get more details then. However, the larger majority of people believe that we could finally see a new iPod lineup for 2015, especially as the range is a bit on the old side. Interestingly, the iPod touch pictured also lacks the connector for the Loop bracelet that the current device has on its back.
Previously a highly-profitable line for Apple, the company stopped reporting iPod sales in its financial reports starting with Q1 2015.
