Baghdad vehicle bombing kills 10

The largest took place in the town of Madain, just south of Baghdad, when a bomb tore through a popular market killing three people and wounding 10, police said.

The Islamic State group (IS) claimed responsibility for the latest attack, according to monitoring group SITE, saying that they had targeted a gathering of soldiers, police and Shiite.

Elsewhere in and around the capital, a series of bombings killed at least nine people and wounded 33.

The explosion left a scene of devastation, with physique elements, vegatables and fruits, and items of picket stalls strewn throughout the market, which is likely one of the largest in Baghdad.
