Mayweather Continues To Troll Ronda Rousey
Mayweather, who appears to be on his very best behavior ahead of his September retirement fight, had nothing but well wishes for the UFC women’s bantamweight champ.
Rousey used to be awarded the Highest Fighter ESPY on Wednesday night time, beating UFC fresh Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and boxers Gennady Golovkin, Terrance Crawford and pound-for-pound champion Mayweather. “Well, as much as these two are arguably the most dominant in their sports of mixed martial arts and boxing, I would have to agree with the recent ESPN polls”.
Reporter: What will this mean for fans if you’re no longer a part of boxing? It’s my last fight, you know?
In this candid interview with Fighthype, Floyd talks more about why he selected Andre Berto as an opponent and gets more personal when talking about how his Uncle’s failing health assured him that retiring is the right decision.
Mayweather: No strategy. My strategy is to go out there and be first, always dictate and control the pace. So when a fan asked her this question, “in a non holds barred rule-less fight could Rhonda beat Floyd Mayweather?” Having lost my own grandmother to a long bout with Alzheimer’s disease, this really hit home for me – particularly since I can sympathize with the pain of seeing a close loved one look at you like a total stranger. “Good luck with everything”, quotes SI. “And, though this fight will never happen, a -400 price would leave books exposed as Ronda is great and has countless ways to finish the fight”.
Mayweather: There’s a lot of young, strong fighters out there. He’s a tough, you know, um, southpaw from Texas, from Dallas.
We’ve got another little, um…Gervonta Davis.
As to why he placed Ali, a hugely popular figure, only fifth, Mayweather said: “Only one weight class and really lost to Ken Norton three times”.
Stop lying, man. You know who Ronda Rousey is at this point.
