After labeling former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush “a puppet to his donors”, Trump bragged to reporters about turning down a $5 million donation offer, saying he would spend $1 billion on his own campaign “if I had to”.

Dianne Bystrom, director of the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics, told FoxNews.com that candidates who remain positive and avoid controversy woiuld make the most impact with voters at the event.
“I think the fact that he’s a strong proponent of workers rights, and working people need to be treated fairly is important to Michigan”, he said.
He pointed to his statements about criminal Mexican immigrants (“the people understood it, even though the press didn’t want them to”) and his slam against Arizona Sen. “We had a little connection there, I felt”.
The Democratic candidate for president said he supports construction of the Keystone pipeline and called Ronald Reagan one of his two favorite presidents of the 20th century.
