Bernie Sanders Tops Clinton In NH Poll
The barbs come as Sanders is gaining momentum in the polls, coming out on top of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for the first time in a poll of New Hampshire Democrats.
More than half of New Hampshire’s likely Democratic primary voters say they view Sanders “very” favorably, compared that 38 percent number for Clinton. Instead, Trump reference the recent rumors by saying he thinks Vice-President Joe Biden will enter the race and take over when Clinton is forced out.
Then Bernie Sanders started to make headway, drawing huge crowds as he seeks the Democratic presidential nomination.
Clinton still enjoys a 3.2-point lead in New Hampshire, according to the Real Clear Politics poll averages. Photographed on Saturday, August 8, 2015. Could Clinton be getting (as late-night comic Larry Wilmore put it) “Obama’d” by the passion and enthusiasm of a lesser-known candidate? According to a RealClearPolitics poll aggregate, she claims 55 percent support, about 35 points ahead of second-place Sanders.
Since Hillary Clinton formally announced her plans to run for the White House in April, her campaign has been anything but ideal.
Clinton seems to have anticipated the need to boost her fortunes. “She was guarding from the president seeing what she doing”. In New Hampshire, he leads with 18%.
“The Hillary Clinton campaign has got to be concerned”.
Vice President Joe Biden is spending part of his South Carolina vacation calling close friends to discuss a potential 2016 run, a longtime Democratic operative and a source close to Biden who had an extensive phone call with him this week confirmed to NBC News. Biden received only 9 percent in the Pierce/Herald poll. Jim Webb, former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley and former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee, resonated with 1% or less of likely Democratic primary voters. The poll’s margin of error is plus or minus 4.7.
“I’m in this race, and we’re running to win“, Sanders said. He has attracted eye-popping audiences like this one, 27,000 people at a rally in Los Angeles over the weekend.
The list of people taking notice of the Sanders campaign now includes Republican candidate Donald Trump as well.
