Boko Haram leader Shekau says he is ‘still in charge’
Boko Haram’s leader Abubakar Shekau has refuted recent media reports of his death or replacement in an audio message.
The military spokesperson, Sani Kukasheka Usman, while responding to the recent audio released by Abubakar Shekau, said it does not matter at this phase whether Shekau is dead or alive, adding that the army is committed to ending the insurgency. “I will only die at the time Allah has assigned for me”.
