Now Hillary’s Lost Bob Woodward
“Well, it certainly is, but, I mean, follow the trail here”.
The State Department in their reviewing of Clinton’s emails to be released to the public discovered over 300 emails that needed to be reviewed, that represents 5 percent of all reviewed emails.
“So you’ve got a massive amount of data in a way, reminds me of the Nixon tapes: Thousands of hours of secretly recorded conversation that Nixon thought were exclusively his”. “Again, it’s the volume: 60,000 emails and Hillary Clinton has said 30,000 of them, half, were personal and they were deleted”. Who decided that? What’s on those emails? “Look at those 60,000 emails and you’re going to get some answers”.
“Hillary Clinton initially took that position”.
Napolitano also asserted that Clinton’s emails contained “satellite photographs of a Middle Eastern country and intercepts of foreign agents”, but an Associated Press report already debunked this claim, with sources close to the investigation noting that “nothing in the emails she received makes clear reference to communications intercepts, confidential intelligence methods or any other form of sensitive sourcing”.
The number of flagged emails stands to grow exponentially if the secret information continues to be found at its present rate.
Do you agree with Woodward?
Finally, Napolitano promoted a fantasy scenario about criminal charges against Clinton, speculating that she could be “indicted for conspiracy to violate the espionage laws of the United States”.
“Why did they allow Hillary Clinton and David Kendall, her lawyer, to decide whether they were going to turn over that classified information or not?” “It, in a way, reminds me of the Nixon tapes”, he said. “This has to go on a long, long time, and the answers are probably not going to be pretty”.
Woodward added, “for Hillary Clinton to go out, as she did, in recent days, and say, [paraphrasing] ‘This is politics”.
This is not the first time Clinton has been compared to Nixon, Journalist Evan Thomas was speaking about his new book Being Nixon: A Man Divided in early July told ABC News Clinton does resemble the former president, “Mrs. Clinton does have some Nixonian attributes”.
