Mobile mayor’s office confirms Trump to visit this week
It quickly decided to relocate the event to the Ladd-Peebles Stadium, home of the GoDaddy.com Bowl, though, after tickets disappeared in less than a day.
Donald Trump’s visit to Mobile on Friday will now be hosted at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in an effort to provide more seating.
The Mobile Civic Center Theater can hold a crowd of 1,000. The candidate himself predicted at his New Hampshire town hall on Wednesday that number could be met as the complimentary tickets are still being claimed online. Local police spokesman Terence Perkins confirmed to CNN that the City of Mobile Police Department is expecting at least 30,000 people to turn out. While Sanders is said to have pulled in cheering crowds of some 28,000 in Portland, Ore., and 27,500 at a recent rally in Los Angeles, Trump could be on his way to an even bigger, more impressive event in Alabama.
“One thing you will notice is that she has been fighting for the middle class, there is a message that includes the middle class, Mr. Trump’s campaign has been divisive from the beginning, and that divisiveness has become emblematic of his campaign”, explained Clinton’s Mobile Grassroots Campaign Coordinator Timothy Bolden.
Donald Trump has been drawing large crowds at events throughout country, but his next event in Alabama could draw his largest gathering yet.
As of Thursday morning, 35,000 tickets to the event have been distributed, according to the Trump Campaign.
