St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson says police moved in to clear protesters from Walton and Page avenues, near the site of a police shooting earlier Wednesday, only after crowds had lashed out against police. There was also a report that a back door had been kicked in.

Police are looking for the second suspect, who they stated is believed to be in his mid- to late teenagers.
Some protesters questioned the police claim that the suspect was armed. One officer shot Ball-Bey three times, while the other shot him once.
“What I know right now is that somebody pointed a gun at police officers,” Dotson told the publication.
