Nick Clayton locked into LA Fitness gym in Clearwater, Florida

‘What gym closes at 5 pm?

The Florida resident had gone to sit in the sauna inside the men’s locker room, after his workout at the gym’s branch in Clearwater.

“I just have to document this really quickly, I have been locked into a closed LA Fitness,” Nicholas Clayton says in the freakish video footage. I had my headphones on and I didn’t realise that this insane place closed at five o’clock.

“No one even checked the bathrooms to see if someone was in there”, exclaimed Clayton. And, to be fair, 5 p.m. does seem obscenely early to be closing, especially for all the office workers out there who would be missing out on their after work fitness routines. I have literally no idea what to do. “Again, more chuckling”, wrote Clayton on his Facebook page. “Am I going to be questioned because maybe I was hiding?”‘

Instead of calling the police like he mentioned in the video, Clayton grabbed his phone and called his mom, who may not have been the most helpful. Thankfully, another L.A. Fitness was still open. Management there told him to exit and it would be okay. Truly…like something out of a damn movie.
