Why Is One Direction Breaking Up?

Popular British boy band One Direction is set to break the hearts of their fans, known also as “Directioners”, worldwide when the members head off on separate directions, according to multiple reports. And, as you’d expect, there were plenty of amusing / sad / interesting reactions.

One Direction pop star Harry Styles is the bookies’ favourite to sell the most records with a solo track following reports that the group would be splitting in March.

Added Coral’s John Hill: “The betting suggests Zayn is likely to have the most success of the former One Direction members as he is the shortest price to hit the top of the UK singles charts first”.

One Direction would take a hiatus after dropping its fifth album, which would mean that this won’t happen until next year.

“I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall”.

The news delighted the optimistic fans adamant their heroes would never, ever desert them. News that although the band is indeed taking a break, this is NOT the end.

The Sun newspaper broke the news of One Direction’s planned break on Sunday, with a source saying: “The guys have been together for five years, which is an incredible run for any boyband”.

Some think the time apart will help them grow. There is absolutely no bad blood between them and they are all 100% behind the decision.

It seems that Payne may want to fine-tune his songwriting, producing and DJ skills rather than a solo career. They have been planning about parting ways for some time, even before Malik chose to leave. The lads, as they as sometimes called, had said they would stick together whilst pursuing their individual muses.

In March, the band vowed to continue as a four-piece after Zayn’s shock departure, which he said was so he could live like a “normal” 22-year-old.
